Nobel Peace Price winner Barack Obama sent to the Senate Thursday a 10-year 80 billion dollar package to “rebuild and sustain America’s nuclear stockpile”.

The Democrats are obviously backing up their president’s proposal, and the Republicans, who are supposed to be against big government, have sadly also announced there support for the program: Jon Kyl (R-Iowa), the Senate’s number two Republican, said in a recent speech that the country needed “a long-term, well-financed commitment” to a government-backed nuclear program.
